QSE Index Drops 16.39 Points at Start of Trading

The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 16.39 points, or 0.16%, at the beginning of trading on Monday to reach the level of 10,218 points, compared to yesterday’s closing.

The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in five sectors: Insurance by 0.90%; Transportation by 0.30 %; Telecoms by 0.17%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.13% and Real Estate by 0.03. However, QSE index saw a rise in Industrials by 0.27 % and Banks and Financial Services by 0.25%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 1563 transactions worth QR 42.963 million distributed to 12.491 million shares.
