Donatuz launches AI-led monetisation platform for creators

Synopsis

This comes at a time when the creator economy in India is booming. The AI-powered monetisation platform for content creators has onboarded 70 creators. Besides, it has 12,000 users on its platform.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered platform for creators, Donatuz, has launched its platform, which aims to generate new revenue streams for digital creators and consolidate monetisation tools.

Founded in 2023, Donatuz is headquartered in Bengaluru, and its platform is currently in the beta phase. It has 70 creators from segments like lifestyle, gaming, and entertainment and 12,000 users on its platform. The platform charges a 12% commission from these creators for the revenue generated.

“Today, creators have to go to different apps for each of their needs. We are solving this problem on hand for them by bringing everything under one roof,” said Maslin Edwin, founder and chief executive of Donatuz.

Under Donatuz, creators can monetise their work through subscriptions, communities, live interactions, digital sales, and more. At the same time, the platform also provides tools like the creator dashboard, insights, and AI-powered agents, among others, to help manage their work.

According to Edwin, they are trying to solve the revenue generation problem that creators are facing in India today.

“Platforms like us are the need of the hour because creators have been depending on brand deals for their revenue, which could be uncertain,” Edwin told ET. “Real money gaming companies were one of the high-paying segments for the creator economy, but with the ban, creators took a huge hit.”

Currently, the creator economy in India is witnessing a boom. Elevation Capital-backed Wishlink and Gruhas-backed Lehlah are content commerce platforms that allow creators to partner with brands to generate affiliate links.

Even ecommerce giants like Flipkart and Myntra have launched their in-house video commerce offerings, where creators partner with brands to drive sales.

India’s creators are influencing over $350 billion in annual spending. This is projected to exceed $1 trillion by 2030, according to a report by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) published in May.
